First place in the peer group
Berlin, October 16, 2023. Tele Columbus AG, one of the leading German fiber optic network operators, ranks first in its peer group with 97/100 points in the GRESB Sustainability Ranking 2023. With the five-star top rating, Tele Columbus sends a clear signal for sustainable networks and focuses on holistic responsible corporate management.
The test result puts Tele Columbus AG in first place in the peer comparison with six comparable European fiber-optic network operators. In the global comparison of 51 companies in the data transmission sector that participated in the GRESB ranking, Tele Columbus is in 5th place.
Last year, Tele Columbus AG took advantage of opportunities to further improve its sustainability performance, increasing its score from 88 to 97. The detailed assessment as part of the GRESB scoring process served as a guide for Tele Columbus to advance the broad anchoring of the topic of sustainability in the company.

The Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) is an international rating system for measuring the sustainability performance of companies and funds in the real estate and infrastructure sectors. The so-called GRESB score, results from a weighting of eleven categories. ESG scores of this kind make a significant contribution to improving the comparability of companies’ sustainability performance.
