Smart Infoscreens to replace noticeboards
Wohnungsgenossenschaft “Glückauf” chooses Smart
Infoscreens from PŸUR Business
– Contract awarded for 1,100 building information systems
– 7,400 residential units to continue being served by Tele Columbus
Berlin / Dresden, 15 April 2021. As part of a restricted invitation to tender for building information systems, Wohnungsgenossenschaft “Glückauf” Süd Dresden e.G. (WGS) has decided to buy 1,100 Smart Infoscreens from the Tele Columbus business customer division PŸUR Business. The housing cooperative has also reached an agreement with the Tele Columbus Group regarding an extension of multimedia provision contracts for 7,400 residential units.
Smart Infoscreen is a display system for up-to-date, local information. As an electronic noticeboard, it replaces the pinboards typically found inside the entrances to blocks of flats with video screens that comply with fire codes and can be updated conveniently online. The use of Smart Infoscreens allows WGS to reliably post important, updated information by way of a simple, web-based content management system. Dynamic additional information, such as departure times at nearby public transit stops, can also be displayed to increase the value of the information shown on the screens as needed.
A total of 1,100 Smart Infoscreens will be installed in the buildings managed by WGS. Their use is not limited to WGS properties served by Tele Columbus and its PYÜR brand. The information screens will also be found in buildings served by other cable providers.
The negotiations also included an agreement on extending current concession agreements with Wohnungsgenossenschaft “Glückauf” for 7,400 residential units. The Tele Columbus Group will continue providing television, telephone and internet service with speeds of up to 400 Mbit/s. With roughly 13,000 residential units in total, Wohnungsgenossenschaft “Glückauf” Süd Dresden e.G. is one of the largest regional housing associations in the city of Dresden.
